1 How do I become a pro?
Apply on Become a pro with your trade, city, licence and insurance. After you submit, you get a Work cabinet — Job opportunities, messages and earnings.
2 How do I find jobs?
Open Job opportunities. Filter by city, trade and budget, save a job, then send an all-in quote. Recommended jobs match the trade on your application.
3 When do I get paid?
When Stripe escrow is live, the homeowner pays a deposit and funds release after the visit is marked done. Today there is no card charge — write hello@handnorth.com. Quotes stay in Earnings as quotes-out until a job is won.
4 What does HandNorth charge professionals?
New Pros get 6 months at $0 on Starter, Growth or Pro, then the package they picked. There is no commission on completed projects — you keep 100% of what you earn. We do not take a card today. See pricing and 6 months at $0.
5 Do you sell the same job to several Pros?
No. One job, quotes, one hire. We do not sell the homeowner’s contact to a stack of neighbours. See a job is not a shared lead.
6 Do I need a licence?
Yes, when the work is regulated. In Quebec that includes RBQ for building work. We also ask for liability insurance and CNESST where it applies. Ontario notes such as WSIB are listed when we open there. See Quebec file.
