Why HandNorth · 04
A Quebec file: RBQ, CNESST, insurance. Verified after a person.
Government ID is reviewed by a person before a badge says Verified. We do not sell that stamp with a plan. Look up any RBQ number a pro writes.

Is HandNorth Verified a paid badge or a person on ID?
A Quebec file on HandNorth is the documents behind a listing: government ID, proof of liability insurance, and a trade or RBQ licence when the job is regulated building work in Quebec. Eligible professionals also show CNESST coverage. Verified is not a selfie and not a paid upgrade on Starter, Growth or Pro. A person reads the file. Until that review is written, a live Work account stays on review — we will not auto-stamp the badge. Catalog listings show licence and insurance where we have them; they are still Request a visit, not a live calendar. You can look up an RBQ number the pro writes. Booking can start before every document is stamped. Trust & safety is the public page for disputes, reports and the 24-hour cancel rule. We will not invent a licence we do not have on the file. A booked visit is live in Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, Brossard and Terrebonne.
Jobs this rule applies to
These six Greater Montreal job pages use the same all-in quote, catalog label, and visit cities. Each spoke has its own copy.
What sits on the file
RBQ is not required for every small interior job. When the work is regulated, the number belongs on the file and you can look it up. We will not invent an RBQ we do not have.
- Government ID — reviewed by a person
- Liability insurance
- RBQ when the job is regulated building work in Quebec
- CNESST coverage when the professional is eligible
Verified is not for sale
Pro plan does not include a Verified badge. Growth does not either. The badge waits for a person. Buying a plan is access to cities and tools, not a stamp.
A live Work account can quote while the file is on review. The public badge stays honest: Verified only after that person writes.
Catalog vs live Work on the same file rule
Catalog companies show licence and insurance where we have them. We will not invent testimonials on that card. Request a visit — there is no live calendar on that card. Live Work is a real account. Reviews there appear after a completed visit. Both still follow the Quebec file: we will not stamp Insured as the default, and we will not stamp Verified from a selfie.
How to look up RBQ yourself
When a professional writes an RBQ number, copy it and look it up on the official Régie du bâtiment du Québec register. We will not invent a number to fill a card. If the work is a small interior visit that does not need RBQ, the card should not pretend there is one. If the work is regulated building work in Quebec, the number belongs on the file.
CNESST coverage shows when the professional is eligible. Insurance is a document: “Quote Insurance” on a visit is not the same as a default Insured stamp on the listing. Ontario notes such as WSIB sit on the file when we open there — they are not live in Greater Montreal today.
Booking before every stamp is written
A live Work account can quote while the file is on review. The public badge stays honest: Verified only after a person writes. You can still compare an all-in quote and hire. Trust & safety is the public page for reports, disputes, the 24-hour cancel rule, and what we will not fake. Find listings on Find a pro.
Verified is not sold with Starter, Growth or Pro. Buying a plan is access to cities and tools, not a selfie badge.
