1 How do I post a project?
Open Post a new project, describe the work, add photos and a city. Greater Montreal visits can get quotes. Find is live in listed metros — we will not invent a local visit where the bench is empty. You can also start from Find a pro.
2 How do quotes work?
Pros send an all-in price on your project. Compare them in My projects, read the profile, then hire one. Public listings today: four catalog companies, plus live Work accounts. Catalog cards are listed professionals — not a live calendar.
3 Is a catalog listing a live Pro?
No. A catalog listing is a listed professional. We will not invent testimonials on that card. Request a visit — there is no live calendar. Live Work is a real account. Detail is on catalog and live Work.
4 Who sees my message after I hire?
While quotes are open, a message stays with that pro. After you hire, only the hired visit is on the thread. Report goes to a person at hello@handnorth.com. See one thread after you hire.
5 How do I hire a pro?
Open the project, pick a quote and send a booking request. Stripe escrow is on the way — a person at hello@handnorth.com can hold a deposit by hand. Cash off-platform is not how we work.
6 Can I cancel a project?
Yes. Cancel a booking free up to 24 hours before the visit. A no-show fee and 24-hour rebook apply only after card checkout is live — today we log the miss and email hello@handnorth.com. Details are on Cancellation.
7 What if I am not happy with the work?
Write the pro from the project first. Extra work needs a change order you Accept — the all-in total does not move by itself. If that does not fix it, open Disputes: a person acknowledges in 1 business day and writes a decision in 7 days. No chatbot. You can also Report a problem or write Contact.
